Intuition:
Unleash the Power

I believe we do not teach intuition; it is as natural to us as breathing. We are multi-sensory beings who are hardwired to be intuitive. We may be missing one of our five senses... never our "sixth sense."
Intuition or psychic abilities takes a number of forms. We all use intuition, often without realizing. Viewed as extraordinary or mysterious, in reality, psychic abilities are innate within us all. Although some are born with greater abilities, we can all develop our intuition.
GET
OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY
What's
preventing you from using intuition as a source of power in your own life? Have you heard a little voice inside that you dismissed, saying 'Oh
no, that's dumb,' and later regretted ignoring it? We need to relearn how
to listen to ourselves. The answers are there. The problem is we
don't always know how to access them.
Intuitive or psychic abilities are blocked by anxiety, fear, and stress. Your ability to hold and focus energy is enhanced by clearing emotional blocks and releasing resentment. If you want to develop further, set the intention. Intention focuses your energy.
HOW DO YOU
RECEIVE INFORMATION
It's important to recognize the way your intuition
comes. You'll detect a pattern. It may come through feelings,
images, physical sensations or thoughts. Discover your strengths; work with what
you have. I've seen people dismiss profound experiences because they came
packaged differently from everyone else's. Focus on what you have, instead
of being blocked by what you haven't. Start by learning to trust your
instincts. Practice is key.
ASK QUESTIONS
If you don't understand, ask for clarification: added
insight will come. Ask questions that require more than a yes or no
answer. When presented with an image, ask what it's trying to tell
you. Answers don't always come immediately. They may arrive when
your focus is elsewhere.
HOW TO START
Set your intention. Quiet your self-talk. Get
centred. Clear your mind. Focus on one thing at a time.
Listen. Practice. By quieting your mind and becoming receptive, you
allow your inner voice to speak to you. Ask questions: expect
answers. Trust the first thought that comes. You're training your
intuitive muscles to start working again... have patience with yourself.
TOOLS
Here are a few ways to focus and develop.
Intuition Journal
Keep a journal of your hunches. Record what your intuition is saying
and what feelings you have. Keep track of your inner voice, physical
sensations and images. Check back and see how accurate you
were. Do you trust your guidance?
Pendulum
Use it for getting answers to 'yes' or 'no' questions. The more you
work with the pendulum, the more your intuition develops, and the more
you're able to tap into higher knowledge.
Meditation
For many this is key. It allows you to clear and still your mind,
focus awareness and turn attention within, increasing energy and
discipline.
Divination Tools
Since ancient times these tools have been used to enhance intuitive
abilities. A couple of my favorites are Runes and Medicine Cards.
One last thought, "Shamanic wisdom says to live in peace with oneself and the world. Apply these principals. Show up. Stay awake. Tell the truth and let go of the outcome."
